2017 was a fun style year for me!! I played with hemlines, prints, and ever hair!

I'm not sure if I can accredit my style venture to releasing my style manuals or just being naturally braver but I feel like I actually learned a lot about myself . I believe we are ever evolving, and that includes fashion choices.

I'll elaborate on a few of my surprising style picks from last year!

This look took me totally out of my element. I used to be that girl that only wore black...pants. I'm still a little shocked that me, myself and I, who loves black clothing, OPTED to wear a floral print dress. And I actually loved it!!! The dress featured a super cute bell sleeve, that was definitely on trend for 2017!

Surprise! It is NOT a dress!! I love this look for so many reason!! 1. Every thought it was a dress. It is actually a $12 mesh armed-bell sleeve bodysuit from Forever21 and a skirt I got on sale at Bloomingdale's for $10. 2. I wore this to the Society 87 launch party. I bought the body suit and never got around to getting a bottom to wear with it so I had to find something unworn in my closet. I tried on a different black skirt but it was way too short. I couldn't even THINK about bending over or my skirt would rise up, showing my goodies to all the townspeople. Can't have that now, can we? No, the answer is "no". So I found the gem of a skirt in the back of my closet and voila, it was perfection. I had the skirt altered three years ago when I bought it but it never quite worked with anything in my closet. Note: When I bought the skirt it was a black slip and net overlay down to my calf. I had the underskirt shortened for a more youthful look. I legit can't wait to find something to wear with it again.

Issa Wig. This year, I discovered the versatility of hair and how a hair change can elevate a look. The bob enhances my simple but carefree outfit. From fleek to chic. From Regina to Regine (Hey Living Single Fans!) Who knew light wash distressed jeans I got on sale for $7 at Forever 21 and a dress, worn as a top could be so fly? I feel like the bob allows the neckline of the top to be highlighted, which gives way to the shape created by the overall fit. #WigForTheWin

Style Tip: Dresses make excellent tops in the winter! If the dress is on the longer side, you can roll it into a flat cylinder shape and tuck in between your back and the top. Depending on the length, it may look a little bunched, just play with it or add a jacket.

If you guys want more style reviews, I can make it happen!!! Maybe quartely or monthly? Let me know!!
